Description

Job Purpose:        

To lead all aspects of financial control and reporting of sales revenue, contribution, variable marketing and operating costs of the region.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Budget and Business Plan preparation by liaising with operating areas in addition to Finance.
• Cost Centre Management (Control, Monthly Accounting and Forecasting review & analysis).
• Prepare sales, cash and expenditure forecasts for review with senior management.
• Treasury management for North America and Canada. Including management of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Liaise with external tax partners to ensure importation customs and duty is paid and reconciled, quarterly state and federal returns are complete and accurate.
• Balance sheet and cash management, reconciliation and reporting.
• Manage dealer finance relationships including accurate and timely composite completion, dealer statements, payments and remittances.
• Preparation and review of monthly management information.
• Delegated responsibility for Finance Manager when required.
• Chair, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve key financial risks or issues.
• Challenge operating interfaces to help achieve the most cost efficient results.
• Continuous identification of improvements to support efficiency in processes both in the role and the wider team.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educated to degree level (2:1 minimum).
• 3-5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role ideally within an automotive OEM or similar.
• Candidates should have a proven track record of a broad financial and interpersonal skill set with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• CPA qualified or passed finalist, or competency through relevant experience
• Previous experience within a financial analysis function desirable.
• Strong excel and other desktop skills.
• Supervisory experience preferable but not essential.
